The Mini Vs the Full Session
It's hard to believe, only 6 weeks until Christmas and certainly a more busy season for photographers. The other day someone asked my what is the differences between a mini session, and a full session? I would like to say that one isn’t necessarily “better” than the other, it’s all about what you are looking for. If you just want a few images to capture a milestone event, or are on a limited budget, or you have young kids, the mini would be your best bet. If you want a session with a larger variety of images or a specialized style which requires close attention to detail, then the full session would be perfect for you. I thought it might help if I outline some of the differences between the two types of sessions written down here for reference…
What my mini session includes: a photography session at a certain location, often at a predetermined times, very limited pre-session consultation, limited number of “poses” and typically one outfit. Mini sessions are typically 20-30 minutes long. I include 5- 6 images in the package price. All images have basic editing and you receive an online gallery with access and sharing options for 2 weeks.
What my full session includes: a photography session at the location of your choice, at a time that best suits your schedule. Full pre-session consultation, including the option to meet at the location for the photos before the session. A large combination of “poses” in various spots within your location, in addition to time for changes in clothing (2-3 at most). A full session gives you 60 minutes of my time, people usually receive 30 to 40 images in their galleries. Images are fully retouched and I provide certain editing requests. The online gallery is - of course - included as well.
This year, I am additionally excited to not only offer studio session but for the first time ever, I will be hosting
